Debt Help - Find a Way Out of Debt

Debt advice

Welcome to our not-for-profit debt help section

You do not need to pay for debt services.

We have launched this section of our website to help consumers who are struggling with debt.

Getting into difficulty with debt can be a very stressful and sometimes traumatic experience. Knowing where to turn and understanding how best to confront the issue can be difficult - but it's reassuring to know that you're not alone and that help is available.

Whilst there are hundreds of debt management companies who charge a fee for their debt advice services, we are lucky in the UK as there are a number of charities set up specifically to help people become debt free again.

We've found some of the best charities and services currently out there - you can get in touch with them using the links below.

Consumer Credit Counselling Service

CCCS is part of the Foundation for Credit Counselling, using a free helpline, 10 centres nationwide and an online Debt Remedy solution to help people who are in financial difficulty.

Citizens Advice Bureau
Citizens Advice Bureau's website, Adviceguide, intends to equip people with information to help them resolve their own problems, and to point them towards appropriate centres for advice where necessary.

National Debtline
National Debtline is a free, confidential organisation that helps individuals by examining their debts and providing solutions for dealing with those debts, through specialist advice, self-help material, and in some cases assistance with creating a Debt Management Plan.

Payplan

Payplan provides free debt advice and debt management plans. Supported by a number of organisations including agencies, unions and members of the credit industry, they are the largest provider of debt management plans and IVAs in the country.

Debt Advice Foundation
